After a great festival last year, we just had to do this thing again. October 30th and 31th we will once again share our favorite bands with you. More info will come during the next weeks and months, so stay tuned. Meanwhile you can enjoy some videos from last year.
Albums from Blokk 5 and Splashgirl are now available on Spotify. Actually, we do not know if this applies to all countries, so you just have to try. Enjoy.
Lasse Passage’s album “If you don’t have time to cook, you don’t have time to live” is now for sale. Buy the CD from Lasse’s website or download it from iTunes or other web stores.
The Lasse Passage debut album “If you don´t have time to cook, you don´t have time to live” will be released the 15th of February!
Lasse and co-producer Jo Berger Myhre (Blokk 5, Splashgirl) are very exited about the finished album, and are looking forward to go on a low no-budget European release tour in February.
The album will be available on CD (in a nice cardboard sleeve), as MP3 download (DRM free) and on iTunes music.
And while we’re at it: Splashgirl will be releasing their second album later this winter. More info will come at a later time.
Norwegian student paper Universitas brings quite a nice review of the Kennel sampler CD. Unfortunately for some of you it is in Norwegian, but here’s some of it:
Philco Fiction is described as gentle jazz-pop that sends shivers down your spine, while Ontz sounds like children’s TV-jazz (!) meets Beach Boys. Lasse Passage gets compared to Sondre Lerche while Kristin Minde is described as a relative of Norwegian pop princess Marit Larsen. Blokk 5’s “Scandimals” is said to be a summary of the career of Motorpsycho.
A lot of strange comparisons but they assure us that it is all ment in a positive way.
Nils Martin Larsen aka Lama has done a interview with Norwegian music blog furoreiharare.com, where he amongst other things talks about the upcoming release of “Guidebook to Lamaland”. You need to be skilled in the Norwegian language to enjoy this, but if you are go ahead and read the interview.
Det er en drøy måned igjen til Kennel Connects-festivalen og i løpet av kort tid vil vi røpe noen av de første bandene. I samme slengen vil vi også åpne et eget nettsted for festivalen. Følg med her i dagene som kommer.
Lasse Passage and Lama are both releasing their debut albums this fall. “Guidebook to Lamaland” will be out on Spoon Train Audio in November. Exact date is yet to be decided. The same goes for Lasse’s “If you don´t have time to cook, you don´t have time to live”.
The songs Belize and Options from “If you don’t have time to cook…” can be found to the right on this website. The rest of the album is available at Lasse’s Virb profile. Visit Lama’s MySpace for excellent music from Lamaland.
