31. oktober-1. november arrangerer Kennel festival på Soria Moria. Det blir musikk fra tre scener to dager til ende. I vår hadde vi tre vellykkede konsertkvelder med medlemmer fra Kennel, og nå vil vi ta det ett steg videre ved å arrangere en festival med band og artister som vi på ulike måter har tilknytning til.
Det er foreløpig litt for tidlig til at vi kan røpe noen artister, men dette og nærmere informasjon om festivalen vil dukke opp på denne siden i løpet av høsten. Sett av disse to dagene og følg med her for oppdateringer.
We had three beautiful nights with eight bands at Soria Moria this spring. Now the time has come for all you regular folks to do some dancing. Johan (Nancy Drew, Blokk 5) and Steinar (Blokk 5) will be playing beautiful music at Soria Moria next Friday, June 27th that is. Come and dance with us.
We have put together a small promo CD with tracks from all Kennel bands. The tracklist is a mix of previously released material, to-be released recordings and demo tracks. Kennel Collector will be released on the second Kennel Night at Soria Moria, May 7th. Let us know if you want to get your hands on a copy.

Lama and Luddekram kicked off our small concert series yesterday. A good number of people showed up to enjoy two great concerts. Those who are skilled in the Norwegian language can read about the concert here and here. Remember the next concert on May 7th with Lasse Passage, Philco Fiction and Blokk 5.
Kennel er et nytt kollektiv med unge profesjonelle musikere som ikke føler tilhørighet i noen bestemt sjanger. I løpet av april, mai og juni skal kollektivet presentere nye og eksisterende band på Soria Moria.
Kennel er et musikkollektiv sammensatt av 18 unge profesjonelle musikere. Hovedgrunnen til at kollektivet ble dannet er medlemmenes interesse for det som skapes i et sjangeroverskridende landskap.
”Vi lever i den tro at når så mange musikere med stor musikalsk referansevidde, og sammenfallende kvalitetskrav samarbeider, så settes den gode musikkopplevelsen i fokus og en søken etter nye lyder oppstår.”
I vårsesongen 2008 er kollektivets tilholdssted 2. etg. på Soria Moria Restaurant. Her skal kollektivet opptre en gang i måneden.

Kennel is a collective of bands and people based out of Oslo, Norway. Over the last few years we have been working together in a lot of different constellations and we decided to make those relationships a bit more formal. Even though the music we create varies from country to jazz, we have the lack of respect for genres in common. Our goal is very simple: Making good music with good people.
We are kicking off this small project of ours with three concerts at Soria Moria in Oslo this spring. The first one is Wednesday, april 9th, where we will present electronica juggernaut Lama and a solo performance from Andreas Løwe.
